In October 1998, Norsafe AS, started to transfer its world-advanced technology on building of fiberglass boat to Jiangyin Norsafe in China. Under its technical supervision, Jiangyin Norsafe has produced Fibreglass TELB, Freefall Lifeboat, Open-Type Lifeboat, Rescue Boat, Spare Parts for Boats and Other Associated Equipment.
Due to expansion of production, we have developed a new factory in Yuecheng Town, Jiangyin City, Jiangsu Province, China, and it has been operating since 16/6/2000. Our environmental controlled molding workshop, assembly workshop, engineering department are housed inside the factory to meet customers' needs, ranging from engineering to high-quality products and after sales service. Jiangyin Norsafe will do its best to serve our customers all over the world with its special knowledge and through Norsafe's world wide net-work.

Manufacturing - Key Features and Capabilities
The production facility is arranged on a flow line basis and this allows the processes from molding to the final testing.
The main facilities are:
- Factory total area: 23,500 square meters
- Temperature regulated molding shop : 750 square meters
- Temperature controlled storage area: 250 square meters
- Cutting area: 600 square meters
- Assembly workshop: 1,800 square meters
- Mould storage area: 600 square meters
- Raw material storage area: 320 square meters
- Finishing product storage area: 680 square meters
- Berth side for boat testing: 1,500 square meters, water depth is 3.8 meters
- 3 units of overhead cranes with lifting capacity of 10-ton each
- 1 unit of fixed pedestal crane with lifting capacity of 10 tons
Supplier Criteria
Only pre-qualified suppliers are to supply the raw mateOnly pre-qualified suppliers are to supply the raw materials and main equipment. This is to ensure that final products will meet both classification requirements and customer expectations.
Engineering Support
The company has full in-house design capabilities for a wide range of lifeboats and rescue boats with CAD-CAM capability, are able to undertake the following tasks:
Development of new model of Freefall Lifeboat
Modification of existing design to suit the Customer's requirements
Preparation of Technical Specification, Documents for Approval and for As-Built records.
