The Norsafe HD- davit is specifically designed for safe and efficient launch and retrieval of Norsafe free fall lifeboats. It is intended for long term, reliable operation in harsh and hazardous marine and offshore environments. The davit system is designed in accordance with latest SOLAS and classification society requirements.
The davit system is based on a hydraulic driven jib cylinder system (2 off cylinders) and a lifeboat winch (operating with two wire falls).
The system provides:
- Free fall launch of the fully loaded lifeboat.
- Free fall launch of the fully loaded lifeboat with 20º list and 10º trim, completely
independent of any power supply.
- Controlled launch of the fully loaded lifeboat, with the ships el. power available,
controlled from onboard the ship.
- Recovery of the boat including crew of 3 persons. (Recovery of the fully loaded
boat is possible).
